Charter engineer quits over “reckless” rules against work-from-home

A Charter Communications engineer called the company’s rules against working from home during the coronavirus pandemic “pointlessly reckless” and “socially irresponsible” before subsequently resigning instead of continuing to work in the office, according to a TechCrunch article published yesterday.

Oak Park issues shelter-in-place order to slow COVID-19 spread as River Forest, Forest Park leaders urge residents to comply as well

With Oak Park announcing its first confirmed case of COVID-19, the village has issued a shelter-in-place order for its residents, which will last from March 20 through at least April 3. 

On Wednesday afternoon, the village announced one of its residents, a man in his 30s, tested positive for the coronavirus. The man was screened and tested at Rush Oak Park Hospital, but is at home recovering in isolation, officials said.
